Ozil returns to Arsenal training after recovering from flu ahead of Barcelona clash

Mesut Özil missed Arsenal’s FA Cup 5th Round clash against Hull City on the weekend due to having the flu but he has since recovered and returned to training ahead of the Champions League Last 16 tie against Barcelona.

The Barca clash will be played at the Emirates stadium today and Özil is expected to start for the Gunners as they attempt to end the reigning Champions League title holders 32 match unbeaten streak.

Özil who has been in fantastic form. The World Cup winner has 17 assists in the league this season – the highest in the Premier League.

The World Cup winner has also created the second highest number of chances in Europe’s top five leagues (216) after West Ham’s Dimitri Payet this season.

Barcelona have been unstoppable recently having already booked a place in the Copa del Rey final and went six points clear at the top of the La Liga yesterday.
