Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has named out-of-favour striker Wilfied Bony in his provisional squad going into the Sunderland clash for his opening Premier League game of the season.

Arsenal have been linked with a £30 million move according to the Daily Star but the bookmakers claim that Everton are currently favourites to land the Ivory Coast striker.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is under pressure to sign a striker over the summer but has yet to land a new forward.

Turkish champions Besiktas meanwhile are currently outsiders at 19.00 but feel they could attract City with a loan deal as he does have another three-years remaining on his current contract.

A source close to Besiktas told Turkish-football.com that the Istanbul giants have Bony on their striker shortlist with Liverpool striker Christian Benteke and Chelsea’s Loic Remy being among the other names being targeted.

Besiktas are running out of time in finding a new striker to replace Mario Gomez who was on loan from Fiorentina last season.

Provisional Manchester City squad:

Hart, Caballero, Sagna, Zabaleta, Otamendi, Stones, Adarabioyo, Denayer, Mangala, Kolarov, Clichy, Toure, Fernando, Fernandinho, Zinchenko, Delph, Navas, De Bruyne, Nasri, Silva, Sterling, Aguero, Nolito, Bony, Iheanacho.
