Turkish international star Arda Turan has had a pretty memorable week. The bearded winger became a registered Barcelona player on Monday made his debut in the 4-1 victory over rivals Espanyol in the Spanish Cup and then his La Liga debut in the 4-0 win over Granada.

Barcelona have won both games in which Turan has started, scored eight goals and the bearded winger provided an assist for none other than Lionel Messi in the Granada victory.

Turan did of course have to wait six-months to make his debut due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club – which was lifted last Monday.

The 28-year-old thanked his fans for showing their patience and support over recent months as well as the praise he has received following his debut.

Barcelona remained in second place following their win over Granada on Saturday just two points behind leaders Atletico Madrid but the reigning La Liga champions do still have a game in hand.
