(Photo) Arsenal contract rebel reaches out to Bayern Munich star on social media
Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil has reached out to his international teammate Manuel Neuer over social media.
Ozil played alongside Neuer while at Schalke 04 and for the Germany national team.
The 28-year-old revealed that Neuer is more than a friend but is a ‘long-time companion’ since his school days.
Ozil wished Neuer a happy birthday and included the following caption, “Not just any teammate nor a normal friend – a long-time companion during school and the Germany team! Happy birthday bro!”
Ozil currently has under 18 months remaining on his contract with the Gunners and has stalled on a new deal.

The Germany international recently revealed that further talks with Arsenal will be held over the summer.
