Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is renowned for his charity work.

As recently as yesterday Germany international of Turkish origin invited an 11-year-old with brain tumour into box for Sunderland match.

Ozil was involved in another charitable effort yesterday after raising awareness for child poverty on his official Instagram account.

The 28-year-old shared a picture of a young fan wearing an Arsenal shirt with Ozil written across the back alongside the following caption: “Dhani lives on a bench at the edge of a rubbish dump in North #Jakarta. He had to drop out of school to work and support his family because his dad is blind. Thanks to the @Arsenal_Foundation & @SaveChildrenUK football programme – Dhani has a safe place to play and football is helping to build his confidence. Football can truly help improve children’s lives all over the world.”
