Turkish international star Arda Turan celebrated his 29th birthday with a victory over his former side Atletico Madrid.
Barcelona wished Turan a happy birthday on their official Twitter account and even started a hashtag in his honour #ARDA29.
The reigning La Liga champions wished the bearded winger happy birthday in English, Spanish, Catalan and Turkish.

The official UEFA Champions League Twitter account also wished the Barcelona winger a happy birthday and asked their followers that their favourite Turan moment was.

The boot throwing incident was a popular choice and one Tweeter claimed he must have got beat a few times by his mother in the same way – apparently being hit with a shoe is a popular method of disciplining kids among Turks.

Barcelona have now won their last eight consecutive games since Turan made his debut with the bearded winger making an appearance in all but one of the matches.
