Liverpool booked a place in the Champions League next season after finishing the 2016-17 Premier League campaign in fourth-place.

Turkish origin midfielder Emre Can had an impressive season, especially in the later stages, starting in the Reds last 12 league games.

Can had a message for Liverpool fans on his official Instagram account.

The 23-year-old shared a picture of himself clapping alongside a heartfelt caption breaking down his thoughts on the season.

Can underlined that the Champions League is where Liverpool belong and that they would not have been able to secure a top-four finish had it not been for the fans.

What a stunning season! Thanks for always supporting us! Without you Liverpool wouldn't be what it is. And it definitely is one of the most amazing clubs ever! You are terrific and outstanding. Because of you on our side we will qualify for the Champions League. This is where this club belongs! This season brought a lot of changes and there were times we weren't as successful as we wished for, but knowing you are always on our side it is just impossible to give up!
