PSG striker Zlaten Ibrahimovic arrived in Istanbul, Turkey yesterday leading to further speculation that he could be holding talks with Galatasaray.
The Lions have been closely linked with the Swedish international over recent weeks.
Ibrahimovic is however, reported to have flown to Baku, Azerbaijan shortly after his arrival in Turkey.
Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek revealed that the club would be capable of signing Ibrahimovic but that he had not entered negotiations with the powerful striker.
“Galatasaray have signed players of Ibrahimovic’s caliber in the past but we will talk transfers at the end of the season,” Özbek told AA.
Galatasaray recently signed Chelsea legend Didier Drogba and Netherlands international captain Wesley Sneijder currently plays for the Lions.
Lions manager Hamza Hamzaoğlu also stated that he is unaware of talks between the club and Ibrahimovic.
“I am not aware of this,” Hamzaoğlu was quoted as saying in Fanatik.
The Istanbul giants won the Süper Lig title for the 20th time last week and will be the first Turkish club to wear the fourth star.
Galatasaray have booked a place in the Champions League group stages next season.
