Manchester City star playmaker Ilkay Gundogan appears to be in a good mood ahead of this weekend’s clash with Leicester City.
The 26-year-old has regained his place in Pep Guardiola’s squad and in Joachim Low’s Germany national team following a long-term injury.
Gundogan missed ten months of football following a knee injury he suffered last December.
The former Dortmund star stated that he is thankful for his current situation and that he learned the importance of staying focused.
“I’ve been through some tough times this year and I am so thankful for the last weeks.
“I have learned that it’s important to stay focused and keep going. In the end things will be good. And if it’s not good, it’s not the end.”
