Emre can has been pictured in training ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Villarreal in the Europa League tonight.

The 22-year-old returned to first team training at the Melwood training grounds.


The Germany international has been declared fit by the club’s medical staff meaning he is available for selection.

Can was expected to miss the rest of Liverpool’s season after he was diagnosed with ruptured ankle ligaments following the Red’s 4-3 win over Dortmund.

The former Bayern Munich star has three assists and two goals in 46 appearances for Liverpool this season. Can has thrived under Jurgen Klopp and is a important member of Liverpool’s starting line-up when fit.

Liverpool take on the Spanish outfit Villarreal in the Europa League semi finals second leg tonigh. The Red’s will look to overturn a 1-0 defeat from last week’s first leg encounter with Villarreal.
