Mesut Ozil took to social media to praise his Arsenal teammates following their 2-0 victory over Bournemouth.

The 27-year-old played a key role in the victory having provided the assist for Gabriel’s opener. Ozil went onto score his sides second goal which secured all three points.

Ozil uploaded a picture of himself on Instagram along with the caption, “Three points, clean sheet and #BPL leader for the moment. After our last match we’ve given a good answer. #yagunnersya #COYG #AFC.”

The Germany international has now equalled the club record set by Thierry Henry for assists provided in a single season.

Ozil provided 16 assists in 17 league games which is not only the best record in England but also the top five leagues in Europe including Spain, France, Germany and Italy.

Arsenal could end the week on top of the table if Leicester City drop points against Manchester City tomorrow. The Gunners take on Newcastle United this weekend.
