The Germany international uploaded a picture of himself praying for World Peace Day along with the caption, “Let’s bring more peace to the world! #PrayForPeace.”

Ozil sat out of Tuesday evening’s clash with Nottingham Forrest in the League cup but is expected to make a return to the starting line-up when the Gunners face Chelsea this weekend.

Arsenal have recorded back-to-back wins over Southampton and Hull City in the League and will be looking to make it three in three against the Blues.

The 27-year-old is still looking for his first assist of the season which may seem surprising seeing that he provided 19 last season.
