(Photo) Mesut Ozil thanks fans for voting him Player Of The Year
Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to thank fans for voting him as the Germany National Team Player Of The Year.
Ozil received the award shortly before Germany’s clash with England last night.
The 28-year-old missed the game due to a hamstring injury which also kept him out of last weekend’s defeat to West Brom.
Germany recorded a 1-0 victory over England on the night with Lukas Podolski scoring the games only goal on his final appearance for the national team.
Ozil shared a photo of himself receiving the award and included the following caption, “Thanks again for voting me National Team Player Of The Year.”
