Pochettino may rest first-team Tottenham players against Besiktas [divider]
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino may rest several first team players in the final Europa League Group C game against Beşiktaş.
“Maybe I will rest some players,” Pochettino said.
“We have a lot of games ahead in the league and we play Newcastle in the Capital One Cup next Wednesday.
“We need to manage the players and we have many injury problems because it’s tough for our players.”
Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor will not be making the trip to Istanbul however, there could be a return to action for Kyle Walker.
The right-back has not featured for Tottenham since the first leg of the Europa League Last 16 meeting with Benfica in March with an abdominal issue.
Spurs and Beşiktaş have already secured a place in the Europa League Round of 32 however, the Black Eagles would overtake Tottenham with a win in Istanbul.
Tottenham are currently first in Group C on 11 points, just two ahead of Beşiktaş,
