Porto’s Josue wants to stay at Bursaspor

Josué Filipe Soares Pesqueira, simply known as Josué wants to extend his stay at Bursaspor according to the club President Recep Bölükbaşı.

The 24-year-old playmaker is currently on a one year loan at Bursaspor from Porto.

“We have held talks with Josué recently and he wants to stay at Bursaspor,” Bölükbaşı told Bursaspor TV.

“We will hold talks with Porto to negotiate a permanent deal.”

The Portuguese midfielder rose through the Porto youth ranks before joining Paços Ferreira in 2011 and then returning to the Portuguese giants in 2013 on a four-year deal.

The 24-year-old has five goals and three assists in all competitions this season.

Bursaspor are currently in fifth place on 30 points after 18 games.

The Green Crocodiles have scored the highest number of goals in the Süper Lig this season (36).

Bursaspor play Gençlerbirliği at home next weekend, Josue is expected to play.
