Portuguese international Raul Meireles attempts to commentate in Turkish [divider]
Portuguese international Raul Meireles posted a video trying to commentate in Turkish.
The Fenerbahçe midfielder eventually decided to mime over Turkish commentator Ercan Taner’s goal celebration following Meireles’ goal in the 4-2 win over Mönchengladbach in the 2012-13 Europa League.
Meireles joined the Yellow Canaries from Chelsea for €10 million in 2012 and has made 70 appearances for the Turkish champions.
The 31-year-old featured in Portugal’s unsuccessful World Cup 2014 team but played an important role in Fenerbahce’s championship winning season.
Meireles still has two-years left on his contract and is currently on a salary worth £2.4 million per-season.
The Portuguese international has won two Turkish Cups as well as the Turkish Super League title during his time at Fenerbahçe.
