Galatasaray manager Cesare Prandelli has stated that Galatasaray played well on the night and were unlucky to be on the losing side.
The former Italy national team manager spoke at a post-match conference following Galatasaray’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of Anderlecht.
When asked whether he will resign Prandelli said, “We will continue on our path, we are obviously disappointed at being eliminated but we have to be professional.
“Galatasaray played well however, we conceded an unlucky goal in the 44. minute. We had chances to equalise in the second half but luck was not on our side.”
Galatasaray find themselves at the bottom of Group D after five games with just one point.
The Lions have been eliminated from the Champions League and cannot qualify for the Europa League.
