Preud’homme – ‘Besiktas have problems with set pieces’ [divider]
Club Brugge manager Michel Preud’homme underlined that his side will try to exploit Beşiktaş’s weakness with set-pieces in the Europa League Last 16 second-leg game.
“Besiktas have problems with set pieces. Corners and free-kicks can be our weapon. Even with battles and long balls, the defenders of Besiktas had problems,” Preud’homme told Sporza.
Club Brugge came from behind to win the first leg 2-1 in Belgium.
The second-leg will take place at the Atatürk Olympic stadium on Thursday 19 March.
Club Brugge have failed to reach the last 16 since the creation of group stages in the competition.
Beşiktaş are still on course for the double, the Black Eagles are first in the Süper Lig on 54 points – two points ahead of second placed Galatasaray.
The Istanbul giants are undefeated in home games in European competition this season. Beşiktaş have recorded wins against Liverpool and Tottenham as well as a draw against Arsenal.
