PSG join race for Man Utd star midfielder but it could cost Red Devils £14m

Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has been closely linked with a summer move over recent weeks.

PSG have become the latest club to join the race for the experienced Germany international according to the Sun.

Per the source, United are willing to let Schweinsteiger leave but he wants all of the £14 million he is set to receive over the next two-seasons if he does part ways.

The 31-year-old is reported to be happy at the club but recently appointed head coach Jose Mourinho wants to trim down the squad and the midfielder is expected to be among the casualties.

Besiktas are also reported to be planning a move for Schweinsteiger according to the the Daily Star.

The Istanbul giants want the experienced midfielder on loan to bolster the squad going into the Champions League next season.

The report claims that Schweinsteiger, Adnan Januzaj, Juan Mata, Antonio Valencia and Phil Jones all face an uncertain future at the club over the summer.

Schweinsteiger has not been included in the United squad that recently travelled to China although it was because he is on honeymoon after marrying tennis star Ana Ivanovic earlier this month.
