Real Madrid legend Guti praised his former club Beşiktaş for moving into first place in the Süper Lig following their 2-1 win over Rizespor.

Beşiktaş moved to the top of the table following the victory, overtaking Fenerbahçe who were held to a goalless draw by rivals Trabzonspor.

Guti tweeted, “Grande Besiktas” and shared the an image of the league table standings.

Guti joined Beşiktaş after spending 25 years at Real Madrid.

The Black Eagles were the only team outside of Madrid the former Spanish international ever played for.

The 38-year-old lifted the Turkish Cup during his time playing for the Turkish giants.

Guti won five La Liga titles and three Champions League during his time at Real Madrid and achieved legendary status at the club.

Beşiktaş are currently first in the Süper Lig on 44 points after 19 games. The Black Eagles face a tricky test against fourth placed Bursaspor next week at the Atatürk Olympic stadium.
