Referees treat Besiktas unfairly says Bilic [divider]
Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic believes that his side get shown more cards than other sides in the league because of their aggressive style of play.
“They say I cannot control my players, this is ridiculous,” Bilic told Fanatik.
“Everybody takes responsibility, everybody knows that they are doing.
“We receive more cards because of the way we play, we work hard and everybody battles for the team.
“Nobody wants to get shown red cards.
“I do not want to blame games we have lost on cards either.”
Bilic did however, underline that he believes Beşiktaş are unfairly treated by referees in Turkey.
“I want the footballing authorities to watch our games and look at the decisions we have received,” Bilic said.
“There is a double standard against us, referees show us cards easier than to our opposition.”
Beşiktaş have received 35 yellow cards and the highest number of red cards (7) in the league this season.
