Netherlands national team manager Guus Hiddink underlined that replacing Manchester United star striker Robin van Persie will not be easy.

The Dutch take on Turkey in an important Euro 2016 Group A qualification game tonight without Van Persie and also Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben.

“We have to replace Robben and Van Persie – that is not going to be easy,” Hiddink was quoted as saying in Goal.

“We have to choose two other players. I can’t tell you who that will be, because I want to inform the players first. That has always been my policy.”

Robben and Van Persie have been key players for Netherlands over recent years and combined for seven goals in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The Netherlands will also be missing Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar going into the game.

Turkey will be without the suspended Arda Turan and defender Ömer Toprak rejected his call up due to personal reasons.
