Revealed: Arsenal want to sell 28-year-old star but unable to agree terms with Euro giants yet

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has been closely linked with a move to Super Lig giants Fenerbahce over recent weeks.

Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik reported that Arsenal had agreed to a £3 million transfer fee and that Ospina had struck a four-year contract deal.

Eren Sarigul of Turkish-Football has however, revealed to ESPN that there is currently no deal in place.

Fenerbahce actually want to loan Ospina while Arsenal are intent on the keeper being sold.

The two clubs are currently at a deadlock and unless a compromise is reached it could jeopardise the move.

Ospina meanwhile is happy with the terms put forward by Fenerbahce and ready to join if the clubs strike a deal.

The 28-year-old is currently on international duty with Colombia and is expected to start against Cameroon at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez stadium tonight.

The experienced keeper does have another two-years remaining on his Arsenal contract but he has grown frustrated with being a back-up to first-choice keeper Petr Cech.

Ospina has made just 24 Premier League appearances since joining from Nice three seasons ago.
