Revealed: Chelsea target agent speaks out about Hakan Calhanoglu future

Hakan Calhanoglu’s agent Bektas Demirtas has spoken about his clients future during an interview with the German outlet Kicker.

Per the source, Demirtas has stated that Calhanoglu may leave Bayer Leverkusen over the upcomming summer transfer window if an offer which matches their valuation is made.

Demirtas went onto say that Calhanoglu’s future is in the hands of Leverkusen but has not ruled out a move away form the Bundesliga club.

“Hakan is currently contracted to Leverkusen for another three years,” Hakan Calhanoglu’s agent Bektas Demirtas told Kicker.

“If there is an offer which matches Bayer’s valuation and which suits Hakan, then my client is open to leave. However, the final decision lies with the club.”

Calhanoglu is currently serving a FIFA suspension and is unable to play any senior football until next season.

The Turkey international’s appeal against the ban was rejected and Calhanoglu decided to waive his wages from Leverkusen as a mark of respect towards his club.

If Calhanoglu decides to join a Premier League side this summer he will join a growing trend of Germany born Turks moving to the Premier League. The list includes Mesut Ozil, Emre Can and Ilkay Gundogan.
