Revealed: Only one team have better defensive record than Man United & Bayern Munich in 2017
Manchester United have conceded just four goals in the Premier League since the turn of the year.
Bayern Munich have also let in just four goals in 2017.
United have the best defensive record in the Premier League, while Bayer have let in the least goals in the Bundesliga.
In fact just one team in in Europe’s six most financially powerful leagues – Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Super Lig – can boast a better defensive record.
Trabzonspor have conceded just three goals in 2017. The Black Sea Storm have not actually lost a league game and have gone from facing the possibility of a relegation battle to breathing down the neck of 4th placed Fenerbahce.
The defensive turnaround has been remarkable. Trabzonspor actually conceded 20 goals over the first half of the season and Yanal’s job was hanging by a thin thread.
The Black Sea based side are coached by Ersun Yanal who formerly won the league title with Fenerbahce and coached the Turkish national team.
Trabzonspor have played nine league games, conceded just three times while scoring 15 goals.

Yanal’s side have started to attract the interest of scouts across Europe included United who have been keeping tabs on 20-year-old Yusuf Yazici according to Turkish-Football.
Yazici has contributed to 12 goals in 14 games – five goals, seven assists – and Trabzonspor are unbeaten in games which he has started.
The attacking midfielder also provided two assists in two games for the Turkey U21 side over the international break.
