Rival Premier League clubs enter race for Everton transfer target, Turkish league giants also plotting move

Everton have been joined by West Ham, Stoke City and Sunderland from the Premier League in the hunt to sign Dynamo Kiev defender Domagoj Vida according to the Mirror.

Per the source, Sunderland have been keeping tabs on the Croatian international for more than a year but are set to miss out on him due to being bottom in the league table.

The four Premier League sides could face competition from Trabzonspor after a source close to the club revealed to Turkish-Football that head coach Ersun Yanal is keen on signing the experienced centre-back.

Fellow Turkish league side Galatasaray are also reported to be in the race to sign Vida according to the Hurriyet.

Vida will have just 12 months remaining on his contract at the end of the season and can play as a centre-back as well as a right-back.

Galatasaray manager Igor Tudor is also Croatian and is planning a defensive overhaul.

The Lions have conceded the highest number of goals in the top four, Trabzonspor meanwhile have let in the least goals in the whole of Europe this year.

The Black Sea Storm have only conceded three goals in 2017.
