Rizespor have been in freefall in recent weeks but have reason to be hopeful. Performances under Hikmet Karaman have vastly improved and new transfer Kyle Lafferty looks like he will be a useful acquisition.
Koray Altınay and Kıvanç Karakaş are suspended for this weekends game. Rizespor were dumped out of the Turkish Cup mid-week following their 4-1 loss against Fenerbahçe.
Mersin
Spirits will be high in Mersin following their 6-2 thrashing of Kasimpasa last weekend which put an end to their run of eight games without a win. Mersin have beens strong at home but have managed to only pick up six points on the road so far.
The visitors go into the game with a clean bill of health. Mersin progressed to the Turkish Cup quarter-finals with a 4-2 win over Karabükspor.

Prediction
Rizespor are yet to win at home this season but I predict they may be able to put a stop to the rot this weekend against a Mersin who have struggled away from home.
