Roberto Carlos wants to coach Brazil national team

Akhisar manager Roberto Carlos has revealed that he wants to coach the Brazil national team in the future.

“My objective is to make it all the way to the national team. I know that I still have a lot of work to do and I don’t know how long it will take. Everything that I experienced with the Selecao was fantastic,” Carlos was quoted as saying on IBN.

“I had 14 years with the national team and we won several titles such as the Copa America, Confederations Cup, World Cup. I feel affection for the national team and I want to return.”

Carlos played under some of the most successful managers in footballing history including Mario Zagallo, Carlos Alberto Parreira, Vicente del Bosque and Luiz Felipe Scolari.

The former Brazil international won three Champions League titles playing for Real Madrid as well as the European Super Cup and Intercontinental Club Cup.

The World Cup winner was appointed manager of Akhisar in December and has taken the Akikolar from the relegation zone up into 11th place.

Carlos’s side are currently 12 points off the drop zone and will take on Mersin İdman Yurdu next in the league.
