Roberto Carlos – ‘We have to beat Karabuspor’ [divider]
Akhisar manager Roberto Carlos underlined that his side must beat Karabükspor in the Süper Lig on the weekend.
Carlos stressed the importance of beating Karabükspor in his latest press conference as the Akigolar have a tough fixture schedule ahead of them over the next few weeks.
“After Karabükspor we take on Trabzonspor, Mersin and Konyaspor, these are all very tough games so it is essential that we beat Karabükspor,” Carlos was quoted as saying on Eurosport TR.
Akhisar are currently 11th in the Süper Lig on 26 points after 23 games but remain just six points out of the relegation zone.
The Akigolar were in relegation trouble when Carlos was appointed in December.
The former World Cup winner had experience both playing and coaching in Turkey before taking charge of the Akigolar.
Carlos was appointed manager of Sivasspor on a two-year deal last summer and guided the Yiğidolar to a sixth place finish in his first season.
The former World Cup winner also played for Fenerbahçe during his playing career.
