Bursaspor President Recep Bölükbaşı confirmed interest in the 35-year-old during an interview with İhlas Haber Ajansı (İHA) yesterday.

“We have not met with any club in Turkey including Bursaspor,” Roberto Assis was quoted as saying by Eurosport TR.

“I heard about Bursaspor’s President’s statement from the media. Ronaldinho is happy to be playing in Mexico and has no intention of leaving.”

Ronaldinho currently plays at the Mexican club Queretaro. The 35-year-old’s contract with the Mexican club ends in June 2016.

The Brazilian signed for the club in September but has showed glimpses of the form that won him two World Player of the Year awards with Barca in 2004 and 2005.

Ronaldinho missed a penalty on his debut and has been unable to win over the fans since. The former Brazil international has three assists and three goals in 17 games for Queretaro this season.

Bursaspor are currently in 6th place in the Turkish Super Lig with 41 points in 25 games.
