Salih Ucan wants to stay at Roma

Roma midfielder Salih Uçan has stated that he wants to stay at the club despite struggling for playing time this season according to TRT.

“My goal is to stay at Roma and keep playing here,” Uçan told TRT.

Uçan has struggled for first team football after spending most of the season out injured. The Turkish international sustained four injury blows over the past season.

The Turkish international revealed that it has been a tough season and that he was unfortunate with the injury situation but that he enjoyed the few chances he got.

“After recovering from injury my first game was against Cesena and I started. Overall it was a tough season because of all the injuries but I will be back to full match fitness in  time for the new season,” he added.

Uçan is currently on a two-year loan at AS Roma from Fenerbahçe and the Serie A outfit have a clause to make the deal permanent at the end of the current agreement.

The Turkish international has now made three appearances for Roma in all competitions this season.

Roma finished the league season in second place and booked a place in the Champions League group stages.
