Samed Yesil could start for Liverpool vs Hull City tonight

Liverpool’s young striker Samed Yeşil could be in-line to make his Premier League debut tonight against Hull City.

Speculation on social media suggests that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers could turn to the former Leverkusen striker following an injury to Daniel Sturridge.

Yeşil got his name on the scoresheet for the second game in a row but was unable to prevent the 2-1 loss against Fleetwood Town at Kirby academy last week.

Liverpool U21 boss Michael Beale revealed he was delighted to see Yeşil score against but obviously disappointed with the defeat.

“It was great to see Samed score again following on from his two goals in our win at Tottenham last week,” Beale told the official Liverpool FC website.

Yeşil only recently recovered from a double cruciate ligament injury that has seen him spend most of the season on the sidelines.

The young striker now has four goals in seven U21 appearances for the Reds this season.
