Sames Yesil praises Liverpool for Jurgen Klopp appointment

Liverpool youngster Samed Yeşil has stated that he believes that the Red’s have made a good decision by appointing Jurgen Klopp.

The 21-year-old stated that he knows Klopp well from the Bundesliga and hopes the change will be positive for the club.

“Ever since it was announced that Brendan Rodgers was no longer in charge of Liverpool, I checked almost every hour to see who would step into his footsteps,” Yeşil was quoted as saying by Goal.

“Yesterday I realised that Jurgen Klopp, who I know from the Bundesliga, is going to be Rodgers’ successor for at least three years.

“I hope that things are changing for Liverpool in a positive way now. As he proved in Germany, Klopp is a great coach.

“It’s a good decision to get him.”

Yeşil joined Liverpool from the Bundesliga side Bayern Leverkusen 2012 for £1 million.

The Liverpool Echo states that the Merseyside club have decided to send the 21-year-old out to aid his development.

The young striker has featured for all of Germany’s youth teams from Under-16 to U19 and he is available also to play for the Turkish national team.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man scored three goals in his last two appearances for Liverpool U21’s during pre-season.
