Sanliurfaspor deny interest in Johan Elmander [divider]
Şanlıurfaspor board member Maruf Güneş has denied interest in former Galatasaray striker Johan Elmander.
“Rumours that Elmander has agreed terms with us are false,” said.
“The reports are not true, we are going to make signings this January and we have agreed terms with a player but he is not Elmander.”
The Swedish international lifted the league title back-to-back since joining Galatasaray.
The Bolton Wanderers record €12.6 million transfer joined Galatasaray as a free agent during the 2011 summer transfer window. Elmander scored 12 times in 30 games in the Lion’s championship winning 2011-12 season.
Elmander joined Brondby on a free transfer in the summer.
The 33-year-old striker has one goal and one assist in 13 appearances this season.
