Galatsaray beat Eskişehirspor away for the first time in four years following their 2-1 win at the Eskişehir Atatürk stadium.

Umut Bulut opened the scoring on 20 minutes for Galatasaray but Ibrahim Sissoko equalised for the home side just seven minutes later.

Galatasaray captain Selçuk Inan scored the winning goal on 86 minutes.

 

Inan scored his third goal of the season in the process. The Turkish international has a total of three goals and four assists in all competitions for Galatasaray this season.

“We beat Eskişehirspor away for the first time in four years, it was an honour to score the winning goal,” Inan told Lig Tv.

The 29-year-old joined Galatasaray from Trabzonspor on a free transfer in July 2011.

Inan was closely linked with moves to Inter, Everton and Leicester City over recent weeks after falling out with former Lions manager Cesare Prandelli.

The Turkish international has however, improved his form under recently appointed coach Hamza Hamzaoğlu.

The Galatasaray captain won the Süper Lig title twice with the Lions and also reached the quarter-finals and Last 16 of the Champions League since joining from Trabzonspor.
