Semih Kaya in race for fitness ahead of Fenerbahce derby

Galatasaray centre back Semih Kaya is in a race to prove his fitness ahead of his sides derby with Galatasaray.
The Turkish international has spent the past two days in training and is expected to make an appearance against Manisaspor today in the Turkish Cup.
Kaya was fit to play last weekend however, manager Hamza Hamzaoglu did not want to risk the young centre back and allowed him another weeks rest.
The young centre back sustained an injury in the International Royal Cup friendly tournament during the winter break.
Kaya missed Galatasaray’s games against Bursaspor, Eskisehirspor, Balikesirspor, Sivasspor and Erciyesspor.

Galatasaray are currently at the top of the Turkish League with 48 points in 21 games.
Kaya still has four-years left on his contract and makes €1.5 million per-season.
