Former Bursaspor manager Şenol Güneş has revealed that he is in talks with Beşiktaş according to the Sabah newspaper.
“We are at the negotiations stage we are in talks,” Güneş said.
The former Turkish national team manager is expected to replace Slaven Bilic as the Black Eagles head coach.
Bilic resigned at the end of the season after failing to win the Süper Lig despite being involved in the title race until the last three games of the season.
Beşiktaş also had an impressive Europa League run under Bilic beating Liverpool in the Round of 32 and making it to the quarter finals.
The Istanbul giants played the entire season without a stadium as the Vodafone Arena is still being constructed.
The new stadium is likely to be competed over the following the next league campaign.
Güneş led Turkey to 3rd in the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea. The experienced manager is one of the most highly rated managers in Turkish football.
