Serie A giants to hold talks with Man Utd & Liverpool target's agent

Ilkay Gundogan

Juventus will meet with ilkay Gundogan’s representatives at the beginning of March  according to Calciomercato.

The Italian news outlet state that the Serie A giants still harbour hopes of signing the Germany international despite intensifying interest from Manchester City.

Both Liverpool and Manchester United are also interested in signing the 25-year-old according to the Metro.

The 25-year-old’s career began at Nuremberg before moving to Dortmund for £4m in 2011. Gundogan has six assists and three goals in 33 appearances for Dortmund this season.

The Bundesliga giants have recorded 15 victories in 21 league games this season and find themselves in second place in the league.

The report comes amid a statement from Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel who stated that Gundogan may yet remain at the Bundesliga club despite interest from abroad.

“I believe it’s not the case that there isn’t a chance he’ll stay,” Tuchel was quoted as saying by SkySports.

“The importance of Ilkay in this form is undisputed, but one can imagine that the interest from other clubs is very high.”
