Sinan Bolat conceded four goals as Manchester United cemented their place in the UEFA Champions League group stages.

The Turkish international made his first start for his new club tonight. The 26-year-old joined Club Brugge on a season long loan from Porto. The Jupiler Pro League side have the option to sign the young keeper at the end of the season.

Bolat was included in Club Bruges starting line-up but was unable to stop Wayne Rooney recording a hat-trick.

The former Genk goalkeeper is currently contracted to Porto but spent the past two seasons on loan at Kayserispor and Galatasaray.

Bolat made 12 appearances for Galatasaray last season however, the Istanbul giants opted against making the deal permanent after a string of poor performances.

The 26-year-old also conceded four goals against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League group stages last season.

Manchester United go into tomorrow’s group stages draw where they could come up against Galatasaray.
