“Regarding the Klose rumours all I have to say is this, he is a great player but he is not a player we are interested in and we have made no efforts to sign him,” Skibbe told Lig Radyo.
EsEs vice president Ahmet Yalçın also denied reports linking Klose to Turkey.
“We have had no contact with Miroslav Klose or his agent. The speculation in the media is completely false,” Yalçın stated to the Turkish newspaper Fanatik.
“We have not even thought about signing Klose.”
The German international’s contract with Lazio finishes at the end of the season.
Klose has scored four goals in 16 appearances for Lazio this season.
