Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic has denied rumours that he did not want January signing Alexander Milosevic.

“These rumours are ridiculous, I never said anything of the sought, we all held several meeting over the transfer of Alexander Milosevic and all agreed that he would be a great transfer for the club,” Bilic told Turkish-football.com following the Turkish Cup defeat against Kayserispor.

Bilic also urged Beşiktaş fans to question everything they read in the media.

“These news stories are totally false, I urge our fans not to take them seriously and would appreciate if the press act more responsibly,” he added.

Milosevic suffered a foot injury which could rule him out of action until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old joined the Black Eagles from AIK after spending four years playing for the Swedish side.

Milosevic signed a 3.5 year deal with the Black Eagles last month.

The powerful defender of Serbian origin created two assists and scored three goals in 28 appearances for AIK this season before his move to Turkey.
