Slaven Bilic – ‘We want to stay first in the league and first in Group C’ [divider]
Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic believes his side will finish the week first in the league and first in the Europa League Group C following the game against Asteras.
“This is going to be a very important game,” Bilic said.
“Three teams have the chance to progress to the next round, we are in a good position but any slip up and that will all change.
“We played Asteras in the opening game, they are a well organised side and very strong at home.
“This will not be an easy game but we will do everything we can to clinch first spot.
“We respect our opposition as always but we are in good form, we are leaders in the league and leaders in the Europa League and want to remain in first place.
“I believe we will make it out of the group stages tomorrow.”
Beşiktaş are currently joint first with Tottenham on eight points at the top of Group C. The Black Eagles need one point to progress to the Round of 32.
