Southampton keep tabs on Sunderland target described as new ‘Yaya Toure’

Fenerbahce midfielder Ozan Tufan has attracted a lot of interest from the Premier League over recent weeks.

The latest club to be linked with the Turkish international midfielder is Southampton who are keeping close tabs on the 21-year-old according to AMK.

The report states that Southampton sent scouts to monitor Tufan over Euro 2016 and that they were left impressed by his display.

The young midfielder ended the Euro 2016 campaign as – statistically – one of the best players for Turkey according to Opta stats.

Fenerbahce boss Vitor Pereira went as far as describing Tufan’s display over Euro 2016 as reminding him of Manchester City star Yaya Toure.
