Turkish national team manager Fatih Terim revealed that he believes the Spanish press has been harsh on Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan.
Sections of the Spanish press have criticised Turan’s display this season for failing to settle in and perform at a high enough standard.
“The media in Spain has not been fair towards Arda. He missed six-months and has not been as mad as some are making out,” Terim said speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of the Montenegro game.
Turan played just 46 minutes of the last four league games for Barcelona but did make 25 appearances in total making four assists and scoring twice.
The bearded winger was part of the league and Spanish Cup winning side but he has won both trophies already with Atletico Madrid.
Turan also drew criticism for leaving Atletico Madrid to join Barcelona in pursuit of winning the Champions League but his former club ended up making it to the final and winning the competitions?
