Stoke City favourites to sign Chelsea defender but Turkish football giants remain confident or landing deal
Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has been closely linked with a summer exit despite closing in on a new contract deal with the club.
The Blues plan to loan Zouma out after striking a four-year contract extension according to the Telegraph.
Per the source, the claims that Stoke City are currently favourites to sign Zouma on a temporary move.
The report does state that West Brom and several other foreign clubs are also in the race.
Fenerbahce are among the foreign clubs hoping to clinch a deal.
A source close to Fenerbahce revealed to Turkish-Football that the club have made an enquiry to Chelsea.
The Yellow Canaries are keen on a loan move and hope the lure of first team and European competition football will be enough to convince him to consider joining.
The Premier League champions are preparing to loan out Zouma so that he can gain experience playing regular football following his knee injury which ruled him out for most of the season.
Zouma joined Chelsea from Saint-Etienne for around £12m in 2014 and he does have another two-year remaining on his contract.
