Waris linked with €10m move to Qatar [divider]

Trabzonspor forward Abdul Majeed Waris has been linked with a €10 million move to Qatar according to Turkish newspaper Sabah.

Waris joined Spartak Moscow in 2013 and spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 outfit Valenciennes before joining Trabzonspor this summer.

The 23-year-old has found the back of the net four times and provided two assists in 17 appearances for Trabzonspor this season.

The pacy forward was included in Ghana’s 2015 African Cup of Nations squad but was later removed due to injury.

Waris has struggled for playing time this season due to injuries. The Ghana international has only made 17 appearances this season.

Stoke City were closely linked with the Ghanian international over the winter transfer break according to HaberTurk.

Trabzonspor president Ibrahim Hacıosmanoğlu also recently confirmed that there have been offers from England and France.

“Lille and a few English clubs are interested in signing Waris,” Hacıosmanoğlu told Turkish radio station Best FM.

”We know Manchester United are monitoring him too.”
