Sunderland set to face competition for Domagoj Vida from Galatasaray

Galatasaray have been linked with a move for the Croatian international defender Domagoj Vida.

Vida has been a long-term target for Sunderland who targeted him last summer and during the January transfer window, according to the Sunderland Echo.

Meanwhile the Turkish outlet Fanatik have stated that Galatasaray boss Igor Tudor has asked the Istanbul based club to sign his fellow Croatian.

The Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti have reported that Galatasaray are already in talks with Vida’s agent Anthony Seric and that Tudor is playing an active role in negotiations.

Galatasaray are on the lookout for centre-backs as Tudor has implemented a three-man defence following his appointment.

Per the source, Cameroon international Aurélien Chedjou has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
