Switzerland international Gokhan Inler has been left out of the Leicester City side that lost 2-1 to Hull City in the opening Premier League game of the 2016-17 campaign.

The experienced midfielder was also left out of the US pre-season summer tour and was not used in the friendly games.
Inler joined the Foxes last summer amid high expectations from Serie A giants Napoli but struggled for playing time and was used sparingly.
As a result of his limited playing time the 32-year-old was also dropped from the Swiss national side going into Euro 2016.
Inler was expected to gain more playing time after the sale of Kante to Chelsea this summer but it appears head coach Claudio Ranieri is unlikely to give him a major role in the team this season.
The Swiss international of Turkish origin has been closely linked with a move to Turkey and Besiktas are reported to be nearing a deal.
The Aksam newspaper claimed last week that Besiktas have reached an agreement-in-principle for the midfielder but as of yet there has been no official confirmation from either side regarding the transfer rumours.
Inler would be able to play as a domestic Turkish player due to being an ethnic Turk and having grown up in the country.
