The Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK) branch of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) have handed Fenerbahçe a stand ban.
Fenerbahçe will have the Migros stand in the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium closed to fans because of supporters swearing during the game against Balıkesirspor.
The statement read: “Fenerbahçe A.Ş have been issued with a stand ban for ugly and bad chants during the game against Balıkesirspor, the ban has been issued because the fans have swore at four away games. Fenerbahçe have also been fined 250.000 TL.”
Fenerbahçe won the game against Balıkesirspor 4-3 and moved into third place, just one point behind league leaders Beşiktaş.
The ban will come into effect in the next home game against Kayseri Erciyesspor in two weeks time.
The Yellow Canaries travel away to Sivas to take on Sivasspor at the 4 Eylül stadium next.
Sivasspor are currently in 12th place but have only lost one of their last five league games.
Fenerbahçe also picked up a stand ban recently following the 5-1 win against Rizespor which proceeded the armed attack on their team bus.
