‘Thank you Sydney!’ – Liverpool youngster reacts to playing in front of 72,000 fans legends including Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher

Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster was name in the squad that travelled to Sydney for the legends game.

The Liverpool legends squad took on Sydney at the 83,000 capacity ANZ stadium on Wednesday.

Brewster was included in a side including Reds legends such as Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Steve McManaman.

The 17-year-old shared a picture on his official Twitter account revealing how delighted he was to be part of travelling squad in front of 72,000 fans.

The youngster played 45 minutes, replacing Daniel Sturridge at the half time break.

The Liverpool rising star was named in the first-team squad against Crystal Palace on April 23 but did not make his debut.

Brewster was born in London and plays for England at Under-17 level but a little known fact about the young striker is that he also has the right to play for Turkey.

A source close revealed to Turkish-Football that the Liverpool wonder-kid has a Turkish mother and would be eligible to represent Turkey at senior level.
